The Sony DSC-RX1 R is a special edition of the RX1, for photographers looking to capture raw detail exactly as it appears to the naked eye. There’s no optical low-pass filter in this compact camera, so the Full Frame sensor can achieve full resolution for when detail really matters.
- Sharp detail with a Full Frame 24.3MP sensor
- No optical low-pass filter for enhanced resolution
- Enjoy a bright F2.0, 35mm Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* lens
Picture quality like a pro
A Full Frame Exmor® CMOS sensor and BIONZ processor deliver detailed, vivid shots, better than many DSLRs – all from a compact camera with a fixed lens. The Full Frame sensor has a wide dynamic range for delicate lighting and expressive colours.
Less is more
The RX1R has no optical low-pass filter, this means the 24.3 megapixel Full Frame sensor can achieve its full potential. With enhanced resolution, the detail you see in landscape shots becomes sharper and clearer – check out each rock and crevice, they really standout.
Carl Zeiss Sonnar lens – light you can feel
Sonnar comes from Sonne, which means “sun” in German, to highlight the bright, clear photos the 35mm, F2 lens delivers. Whatever the situation, enjoy high contrast images – the multilayer T* coating reduces ghosting and flare. See striking results in your snap photography.
You’re in control
The lens of the RX1R has an aperture and focus ring, as well as adjustment buttons right at your fingertips. There’s also exposure settings and a custom button so you can shoot how you want. With a macro lens 14mm from the sensor surface, it’ like two lenses combined in one.
Shoot your own movies
