We understand that sometimes you may wish to return a product you have purchased from CamBuy, so we have set out our policy regarding returns for you to assist in this process.
Our Returns Policy includes the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law and provides you with additional benefits in addition to those rights, because your satisfaction is important to us.
Incorrect Choice/Change of Mind
Please choose carefully - no refunds, credits or replacements are given if you change your mind, order the wrong product or it doesn't meet your expectations, or fail to verify and accurately provide information when placing an order.
At our discretion, we may agree to exchange incorrectly ordered products or offer store credit for them. If an exchange or credit is approved a 10% restocking fee will apply. Any freight and insurance costs to return the item to us are at your expense. This includes the liability for any lost freight so we suggest sending via registered post.
All return requests must be received buy us within 14 calendar days of order delivery.
Under no circumstances can we accept the return of non-faulty items from the following categories:
- Cameras, lenses and other electronic items
- Studio equipment
- DVDs, software and books
- Printer cartridges or paper
- Special order items
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Where a failure does not amount to a major failure, CamBuy is entitled to choose between providing you with a repair, replacement or other suitable remedy.
Faulty goods can be returned to CamBuy and we will return them to the manufacturer on your behalf. However, it may be more convenient and time efficient for you to liaise with the manufacturer directly - our friendly Customer Service Team will be happy to provide you with their relevant contact details to assist you. Delivery and handling charges on returns for faulty or damaged goods are not refundable and products are to be returned at your own cost and risk.
If you wish to return a product to CamBuy, we will provide instructions on how to return goods in an appropriate manner. Contact us to obtain these details either by filling in the form on our Contact US page. Please wait until we authorize the return of goods and create a Return Merchandise Authorization number for you. Unfortunately, we are unable to attend any goods returned without an RMA number.
When we send your product to the manufacturer or their agent, we will ask them to assess the product and provide their assessment within a reasonable timeframe.
The manufacturer will assess the product and determine whether:
- There is a minor fault: Where there is a minor fault and the product can be easily repaired, this will be carried out and the product returned to you within a reasonable time frame.
- There is a major fault: If the assessment is that the product has experienced a major fault you may choose to receive a refund, replacement or repair. We can process a refund by re-imbursing your credit card, or by returning funds to your PayPal or your bank account - whichever payment method was used to pay for your order.
